Description of the workshop:
Discover the magic of natural dyeing focusing on sustainable practices. There will be many plants used in the demonstrations and bundle dying portion is an art on its own. In this workshop you will be introduced to traditional dyeing with colors derived from plant based & renewable sources such as marigold, safflower and more. You will also learn how to use readily available ingredients such as avocado skins, onion skins for affordable, easy dye colors.
During this two hours workshop you will complete two projects: a bandana and a t-shirt.

Meet your instructor:
Andrea is the owner of Perennial - a small scale natural dye studio. Her love for art, colors and nature started since she was very young. A trained visual artist, photographer she found passion in a plant-based eco-friendly lifestyle about 8 years ago, which eventually has grown to love for natural dyes.
In her spare time, Andrea enjoys going to North Folk for a good matcha, and a walk in the park with her dog Ginger.
Maximum group size: 10 people
Your workshop includes:
- 2 hour instruction
- tie dye kit with natural colors (marigolds, cochineal and surprise colors)
- Pre-treated cotton shirt (choose your size S/M/L)
- Cotton bandana 22x22
- Miscellaneous supplies for the workshop (gloves, rubberband, apron, plastic ziploc bag etc)
